How to Order Custom 3D Printed Awards for Your Business or Event

A successful custom award begins with a clear brief and time for approvals. Before choosing a shape, decide what is being recognized, who will receive it and how the awards will be presented.

Define the recognition and intended display

Tell us whether the award marks a staff milestone, volunteer contribution, conference achievement or event category. Share an original theme or licensed logo and explain where the piece will be displayed.

For example, a team might use the same simple base for several values awards while changing the category text. That can keep the brief coherent, but every variation still needs approval.

Prepare one final recipient list

Names, dates and category titles should be checked before proof approval. Short text is often easier to make readable at desk scale than a long inscription. Small letters may need a different size, location or simplification.

If you do not yet have final names, tell us when they will be available. Do not assume late changes can be made after printing begins.

  • Confirm spelling, capitalization and dates
  • Identify which text is shared and which changes per award
  • Explain any packaging or presentation needs

Plan backwards from the handoff date

Give the date you need the finished awards in hand, including any time needed for shipping or event setup. The studio uses one X1 Carbon; feasible quantity depends on piece size, print hours and the current queue.

An example batch of 10–50 is a discussion range, not a guarantee. We may suggest a smaller piece, fewer colors or a different quantity, or decline a deadline we cannot reasonably meet.

Review material and finish honestly

These are decorative FDM prints mainly made in PLA or PETG. Up to four filament colors may be practical, and fine layer lines are normal. They should not be expected to look like cast metal or polished resin unless a specific finishing scope is agreed.

Ask the quote to clarify base dimensions, colors and any cleanup or additional finishing. Concept images show design directions, not verified completed award samples.

Approve the quote and proof, then production

Submit the brief through the existing free quote form. We check licensing and feasibility, clarify details and provide a written quote and design proof. Confirm design and all personalization before approving.

The written quote states payment and any deposit or cancellation terms. Production follows the required approvals and payment arrangements; pickup in Austin / Round Rock is by arrangement, with U.S. shipping subject to order acceptance.
